Find Realtor

Once you know how much you can afford and what your monthly mortgage payment will be, it’s time to find a Real Estate Agent who will help you find your home, check out our How to Find a Realtor post.

View Properties

Your agent will help you narrow down homes based on your family’s needs and criteria. Once you find the right home, your agent will write up a contract and submit your offer to the seller. When your offer gets accepted, the loan process begins.

Start Escrow

Congratulations! You are on your way to becoming a homeowner! Meet with your loan officer to sign the loan application and disclosures. Discuss the loan process and set expectations, lock your interest rate and confirm monthly mortgage payment. The loan goes to Processing and Underwriting. Our processing team orders the appraisal, title report, and other necessary documents. Then, your loan gets submitted to Underwriting for approval. There may be some paperwork that needs to be updated, and your loan team will let you know what else may be required for final loan approval.

Closing, Funding, and Recording

Loan is approved! Next is Signing day – After signing your loan documents, your lender sends funds to escrow. Then you have a “beach day,” – Relax while your documents are reviewed. Finally, Loan Recordation Day is Here – Congratulations! You get the keys, and you are now a homeowner!
