In a world of online experts and push-button mortgages, John believes the human connection still matters and there is never a one-size-fits-all solution when making one of the biggest financial commitments of your life. As your mortgage advisor, John will provide you with individualized mortgage solutions based on your unique circumstances and goals. He is always available to answer your questions day or night.
John is a graduate of the University of Columbus in Georgia with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantryman after completing two years of college. He later completed his degree while as an active-duty soldier. John served as a Private First Class (E3), to Sergeant First Class (E7), before attending Officer Candidate School and becoming a commissioned officer. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel (O5) after 29 and a half years of service. During his career, John had the privilege and honor of serving alongside some of the greatest American service members in Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Germany, Texas, Kansas, Georgia, and Hawaii. He was lucky to have his family at most of his duty assignments and was fortunate to have Hawaii as their last duty station and then making Hawaii their home. John has a beautiful wife of 30 years and three incredible children who are now adults. Two are serving in the military and the other is studying as a Ph.D. graduate. They have a grandchild; they hope will become a successful pro golfer.
After the military, John was encouraged to become a Mortgage Loan Officer but wanted to make sure his path allowed him to continue to help Veterans and their families. As fate would have it, John met Tony Dias and Chris Cano, whose passion was educating veterans about their VA Home Loan Benefits and helping Veterans achieve financial freedom through homeownership. This has provided the opportunity for John to work with the #1 VA Purchase Lender in Hawaii, educating Veterans, and supporting the local community. John’s passion for serving did not end with a DD-214. Helping his fellow Veterans own a piece of the country they have defended is an extension of his continued service.
Our mission is to aggressively serve veterans and their families through education and facilitation of the VA Home Loan Benefit while advocating for our local military and veteran community.
