Estefany Tabares has been a part of Aligned Mortgage since July 2019. She is attributed with playing a major role in turning our company into the #1 VA Home Loan Lender in San Diego in 2020, and she plans to make an even bigger impact in 2021 and the years to come.
Originally from New Jersey, Estefany started working in banking as soon as she turned 18. She worked for both Bank of America and Marine Federal Credit Union a combined six years where she held positions from Teller to Member Service Representative and performed duties from opening accounts to establishing credit and auto loans. She even held a telemarketing position where she says she acquired her confidence to be able to speak to clients over the phone. If this were not enough, while she was working, Estefany attended Campbell University and obtained a degree in Psychology.
In 2015, Estefany naturally fell into the mortgage industry when she and her young family were making a military move themselves to California. As a banking veteran and Military Spouse of a United States Marine, Estefany was inspired by all that was involved in purchasing a home with the VA Home Loan Benefit. Motivated by a chance meeting with Chris Cano, Aligned Mortgage Founder, Estefany decided to become a Mortgage Loan Officer and put her firsthand experience to good use helping families like her own. As she says, “I met Chris, became an originator, and the rest is history!”
Estefany is passionate about educating our Military Servicemen and Women and their spouses on their VA Home Loan Benefit as it is what helped she and her husband become homeowners, too. She not only loves being able to help families invest in owning their home, but really enjoys the process of showing each of her clients how they can own a piece of the land they help defend. It has become her mission to change the lives of other Military Families in the same way hers was when she and her husband bought their first home!
Estefany feels blessed to be called to this work as she is able to take it with her no matter where the Marine Corp takes them. Nonetheless, she would be the first to tell you that like many Military Spouses, while she loves what she does, nothing beats spending quality time with her husband Kenny, their two young children, and their two dogs.
Our mission is to aggressively serve veterans and their families through education and facilitation of the VA Home Loan Benefit while advocating for our local military and veteran community.
