Family, faith, and destiny brought Cody Carrasquillo into the fold at Aligned Mortgage. A willingness to take chances combined with an abiding belief that family extends beyond the scope of shared DNA changed the course of his life. A San Antonio native, Cody grew up surrounded by a family that served in most military branches. Three miles from his house, the local VFW provided the gathering place where they socialized. He grew up hearing about his family’s military exploits and proudly admits that his parents raised him to have a high level of respect for those who served.
Although Cody went to college on a baseball scholarship, his love of science had him pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree followed by a year as an intern working on cancer research for NASA. Eventually, he did a stint as an entrepreneur, where he first met his current business partners Tony Dias and Chris Cano. But his dedication to family and friends found him following the son of his father’s best friend to Aligned Mortgage, which, as fate would have it, was owned by Tony and Chris.
Cody began as an assistant loan officer and quickly fell in love with the industry that served Veterans and active-duty military, helping them make the American dream of homeownership a reality. Cody immersed himself in the business, learning everything he could, and after five years, he holds a position as one of the three stewards of the company.
Today, Cody dedicates much of his time bringing out the potential in others by mentoring loan officers and branch managers so that they deliver white-glove service to Aligned Mortgage clients. However, the professional achievement he takes the most pride in is creating the Aligned Mortgage University, which strives to broaden loan officers’ knowledge base allowing them to better serve their clients.
Cody considers himself a man of God and believes in going through his professional and personal life rooted in faith, family, and integrity. Away from the office, he is happiest spending as much time as possible with his young son and sharing their love of baseball.
Our mission is to aggressively serve veterans and their families through education and facilitation of the VA Home Loan Benefit while advocating for our local military and veteran community.
